Attention Travelers: REAL ID Requirement Starts May 7, 2025!

Starting May 7, 2025, you’ll need a REAL ID or equivalent to fly domestically within the U.S.

Not sure what qualifies? Here's what you need to know for New Yorkers:

  • Passport – Valid for both domestic and international flights, plus land/sea border crossings
  • Enhanced Driver’s License (EDL) – Fly domestically and drive to/from Canada & Mexico
  • REAL ID – Required for domestic flights only

No REAL ID? No worries – your passport is still valid for domestic travel!

Still unsure? Homeland Security has a detailed, step-by-step guide to help you out!
