Entering Canada Via a Land Border
Below are the steps required to enter Canada for fully vaccinated Americans andCanadians via a land border.
1. Download the ArriveCan App and enter the information prompted
- ArriveCan will require a picture of your passport, FAST card, NEXUS card or enhanced driver’s license, proof of COVID vaccine and quarantine plan.
- TIP: If multiple people are traveling together, only one person needs to have the app - that one person can enter the information for all travelers in group.
2. You must have all of the below available at the border:
- Proof of being fully vaccinated (you are considered fully vaccinated 2+ weeks after you have received your 2nd dose)
- Passport, Enhanced License or NEXUS
- As of April 1, 2022, pre-entry tests will no longer be required for fully vaccinated travellers entering Canada by land, air or water.
